NextPax announces “world’s first” distribution partnership with Trip.com

Netherlands: Almere-based channel manager NextPax, which provides channel management technology for vacation rentals, hotels and resorts, has announced a distribution partnership with Asian travel distribution channel Trip.com Group.

NextPax claims that the API built in partnership with the Chinese OTA, owned by Skyscanner’s parent company Ctrip, is the “first completely automated connection for vacation rentals”, allowing them to manage their online distribution channels by support prices, availability, bookings and content [such as photos and descriptions].

Until now, the company has already been providing connectivity to thousands of hotels for Trip.com Group around the world but it has now taken the step to develop the connectivity and infrastructure to support vacation rentals on the company’s platforms. Trip.com Group will now be able to offer vacation rentals to its hundreds of millions of users worldwide.

NextPax CEO Erik Engel said: “Teaming up with VTrips’ Steve Milo allowed us to put the first 2,000 U.S.-based vacation rental properties on Trip.com Group platforms. These difficult times have further focused us on what we do best, building great technology together with our partners.”
