Belgium: Otamiser, which claims to be the world’s first online travel agency [OTA] ranking management platform, has announced its expansion into the short-term rental industry with the launch of AutoRank.

According to Otamiser, AutoRank is set to transform how hosts and property managers achieve visibility and secure bookings on platforms like Airbnb.

Today, Airbnb is such a crowded marketplace that bookings are largely driven by visibility and how high a property ranks in search results, which can lead to those hidden beyond the first pages missing out on opportunities.

AutoRank seeks to directly address the challenge, bringing a fresh approach that keeps listings competitive, relevant and highly visible — all without any manual effort from property managers.

Leveraging “cutting-edge” AI technology, AutoRank continuously analyses Airbnb search trends and guest behaviour to automatically refresh property listings every 48 hours with the most relevant and impactful content and keywords. It crafts dynamic, SEO-friendly descriptions that showcase each property’s unique features, as well as nearby attractions, top amenities, and key highlights based on the latest search trends.

The platform also intelligently adjusts content to reflect seasonal shifts, local events, and traveller preferences, ensuring properties appeal to current traveller interests.

As demand surges during peak booking windows, AutoRank ensures properties are prominently featured at the top of search results, attracting more views and giving property managers the opportunity to charge higher average daily rates [ADRs] without forfeiting their ranking. That increased visibility not only drives more bookings but also maximises revenue.

Initial tests of AutoRank also show improved review scores, as enhanced content increases the likelihood of meeting guest expectations.

Through AutoRank’s intuitive all-in-one dashboard, property managers gain access to invaluable data-driven insights, helping them to understand guest preferences on a deeper level, tailor their offerings, and stay ahead of market trends. With a holistic view of their property’s performance, hosts can make informed decisions that drive sustained success and growth.

Otamiser’s expansion into the short-term rental sector with AutoRank marks a significant milestone for the company and the industry. AutoRank is designed to eliminate the need for manual updates or guesswork in keyword optimisation by analysing vast amounts of data to ensure properties stand out precisely when it matters most.

Bart-Jan Leyts, founder and CEO of Otamiser, said: “In a marketplace as competitive as Airbnb, where visibility directly dictates success, staying ahead of the positioning game is absolutely crucial. What makes AutoRank so groundbreaking is its ability to adapt in real-time to Airbnb’s constantly evolving algorithms and shifting guest preferences.

“It’s like having an expert marketer working behind the scenes 24/7, ensuring your property is not only staying relevant but leading the pack.

“Ultimately, visibility isn’t just about getting more bookings, it’s about commanding higher rates. AutoRank boosts the visibility of rentals in search results, ensuring that an increase in nightly rates doesn’t negatively impact their overall ranking. It’s the perfect synergy of ranking and revenue management, and we’ve seen how transformative that can be for hotels.

“Now, we’re bringing that same power to the Airbnb space, giving hosts the tools they need to turn visibility into bookings and higher revenues,” he added.

Thomas Feldhusen, product manager of Otamiser, said: “Since joining the Otamiser team, I’ve been amazed by their dedication to solving one of the most pressing challenges in the short-term rental industry: visibility. AutoRank isn’t just a clever tool, it’s a complete rethink of how property managers can thrive in a competitive marketplace like Airbnb.

“The team has identified a key need by empowering hosts to increase their visibility and secure more bookings without sacrificing time or energy. It’s rare to see a product that balances advanced AI with practical, real-world application, and I’ve been blown away by the results we’re already seeing,” he added.

In June, the company raised $3 million USD [€2.8 million / £2.36 million] in its first funding round, led by Pitchdrive VC. The new capital is being allocated to Otamiser’s expansion to 1,000 hotels and 100,000 short-term rentals worldwide.
