PointCentral confirms donation to VRMA Advocacy Fund

US: Property automation solution provider PointCentral has announced it is making a donation to the Vacation Rental Managers Association [VRMA] Advocacy Fund to support the vacation rental industry during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The fund is to be used to amplify the value that vacation rentals bring to the travel industry, thereby ensuring that the industry is treated fairly during this period of economic recovery.

VRMA Advocacy seeks to provide extensive support to members in dealing with regulatory issues. This includes tools to educate members, news about the vacation rental industry, tracking of social media for relevant discussions, regulatory news, petition drives, consultation, connecting members with organisations, educational conferences and education of public policymakers.

PointCentral president Sean Miller said: “We joined the VRMA in 2012 and have been proud bronze sponsors ever since. In addition to bringing together vacation rental managers, industry luminaries and suppliers to learn and network, the VRMA is a tireless advocate for the vacation rental industry, educating government regulators and policymakers and promoting the benefits of the industry wherever they can.

“The work they do is greatly appreciated by all of us, especially during these difficult times. We hope our donation will help the industry to come back bigger and stronger than ever,” he added.

VRMA board president Toby Babich said: “PointCentral has been a great partner for the VRMA Advocacy Fund. We are thankful for their commitment to the vacation rental community by assisting with the fundraising effort and their financial contribution.

“Their support allows us to continue our effort to provide tangible assets for our members and the greater vacation rental industry. Now more than ever, it is vitally important that the vacation rental community advocates for their industry to ensure regulatory fairness and to explain the value we bring to the travel and tourism ecosystem,” he added.
