Roompot and Landal GreenParks appoint Andersson as CEO

Netherlands: Vacation parks company Roompot and Landal GreenParks has strengthened its executive team with the appointment of Mikael Andersson as its new CEO and three new board members.

Having previously held roles at NH Hotels in Madrid and Expedia in London, Andersson will vacate his role as chief commercial officer [CCO], which will be taken over by Tjalling Smit on 1 August of this year. Smit joins from Nederlandse Spoorwegen and he has also served in commercial director positions at Transavia and Air France-KLM airlines.

As of 1 June, Carla Milovanov will fill the role of chief information officer [CIO], where her focus will rest initially on the integration and harmonisation of Roompot and Landal GreenParks’ digital systems. Milovanov has previously led the client technology teams at global hospitality brand Accor.

Bastiaan Haks will succeed Coen van der Wel as chief financial officer [CFO], also on 1 June, having built up experience in investment company, merger and takeover projects so far in his career. He has also worked as CFO of Unilever.

Meanwhile, Jeroen Mol will step down as chief operations officer [COO] and a successor will be announced in due course, according to a Roompot and Landal GreenParks press release.

The executive team also includes chief development officer [CDO] Belinde Bakker and chief human resources officer [CHRO] Alrik Boonstra. .

Chairperson of the board of directors, Dirk Anbeek, said: “Given my previous involvement, I look forward to many more years of supporting the company’s successful international process of growth. I look forward to constructive collaboration and wish newcomers Tjalling, Carla and Bastiaan every success and satisfaction in their respective new roles.”

Roompot and Landal GreenParks jointly offer more than 30,000 holiday accommodations in 300+ destinations across 13 countries. The former acquired the latter last April to merge and form one organisation, creating a market leader that would offer a diverse range of holiday and lodging choices for guests in Southern Europe.
