US: New data from RMS and outdoor hospitality OTA Spot2Nite shows RV park supply near US FIFA World Cup 2026 host cities has more than tripled year-on-year for the June 10-20 tournament window.
The data, based on RV parks listed within 50 miles of host cities, suggests operators are increasing OTA distribution and online visibility ahead of the tournament.
The findings come as hotel demand in several host markets reportedly tracks below expectations. According to the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s FIFA World Cup 2026 Hotel Outlook, 80 per cent of surveyed hotel operators said bookings were below initial forecasts.
RMS said the gap creates an opportunity for RV parks and campgrounds to capture additional demand from travelling fans.
Pricing data also showed wide differences between host markets. Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia are currently seeing average nightly rates between $97 and $190, while Dallas and Kansas City are averaging between $56 and $68.
Houston recorded the largest supply base, with rates ranging from $41 to $223 per night.
Adam Seskis, chief executive officer at RMS, said operators should focus on pricing strategy and booking visibility as demand evolves throughout the tournament.
“Parks need to monitor booking pace, local demand and match outcomes closely, then use dynamic pricing to make the most of each shift in demand,” Seskis said.
