Short Stay Summit moves to Old Billingsgate for April 2023
UK: Following a successful 2022 event, it has been announced that the Short Stay Summit for 2023 will be held next year on 27 April at a new venue – Old Billingsgate, in central London.
The Summit is again being organised by the three largest bodies that represent the industry in Europe, the UK and the United States – the European Holiday Home Association [EHHA], the UK Short Term Accommodation Association [STAA] and the Vacation Rental Management Association [VRMA], respectively.
The theme for the Short Stay Summit 2023 is “Maximising opportunities in times of transition” and will be designed to help delegates maximise the opportunities for operators in the short term rental industry. It will provide a platform for delegates and exhibitors to further develop their conversations and ideas on how to continue to grow the industry in a sustainable way.
As with this year’s event, it is expected that the short-term rental industry’s leading CEOs, property owners, founders, innovators, directors and company presidents from across the globe will be in attendance and presenting either from the platform, participating in panel discussions, taking part in workshops or available to speak to at their company stands.
Merilee Karr, chair of the STAA and CEO of UnderTheDoormat, said: “The Short Stay Summit 2022 was a huge success. It was wonderful to welcome all of our industry friends from across Europe and the US as well as our Tourism Minister who headlined the conference.
“The event reminded everyone that our industry is vibrant and full of dynamic people and companies who want to grow businesses that will provide customers and guests with top quality travel and accommodation experiences. It was so rewarding to be a part of something that you could visibly see benefiting all who attended.
“We are looking forward to seeing everyone in April to an even larger event at which we will continue to shape the future for our industry,” she added.
Viktorija Molnar, interim Secretary General of EHHA, said: “EHHA is thrilled to again co-organise the Short Stay Summit with the STAA and VRMA. The Short Stay Summit has proven its worth as an unmissable opportunity for the short-term rental industry to come together across Europe.
“It gives delegates from across our European membership a fantastic opportunity to immerse themselves in industry discussions, learn about innovations and technology advances, share their experiences and grow their businesses in a sustainable way. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again in London next April!” she added.
Kimberly Miles, executive director of the VRMA, said: “We are delighted to partner with the STAA and EHHA once again for this prestigious event. The Short Stay Summit delivers an exceptionally meaningful experience for delegates to come together, exchange ideas and collaborate to shape the future of the vacation and holiday rental industry.
“We are excited to be returning to London in April with many more of our US members to advance the success of our industry and support expansion for businesses both ways across the Atlantic,” she added.
