US: Travel apartment provider Stay Alfred last week announced the addition of two downtown Miami locations, taking its domestic portfolio to 33 destinations.
Since 2011, Stay Alfred has hosted more than 800,000 guests and it will now host travellers at its incoming Stay Alfred Brickell and Stay Alfred Little Havana properties.
Stay Alfred Brickell, located at 1700 SW 2nd Avenue in the heart of Miamiโs central business district, occupies the entire building with 72 upscale travel apartments. The property previously operated as the Habitat Residences Condo Hotel, and now offers in-demand facilities and amenities such as conference rooms, an on-site gym and a pool.
Stay Alfred Little Havana, located at 761 and 765 NW 1st Street, has been developed by real estate firm Tecela. It includes eight fully equipped travel apartments in one of the cityโs most vibrant multicultural neighbourhoods.
Tecela founder Andrew Frey said: โIโm very happy to be collaborating with Stay Alfred in East Little Havana.
โItโs the historic and cultural heart of Miami with attractions visitors crave from great parks, new restaurants and bars like La Trova and Los Altos to entertainment like Tower Theater and Viernes Culturales. In addition to Little Havanaโs vibrancy, guests will be close to many other great Miami districts including Brickell, Downtown, Health District, Coral Gables and Coconut Grove,โ he added.
Stay Alfred claims to combine the quality, consistency and support of a hotel with the lifestyle amenities of an upscale apartment building. It also forges partnerships with developers, property management companies, real estate investment trusts (REITs) and family offices working with multifamily assets through a mixed-use hospitality model.
Stay Alfred CEO and co-founder, Jordan Allen, said: โAs Miami is one of the worldโs most desirable travel destinations, we seized the opportunity to bring upscale accommodations to not one, but two of Miamiโs best neighbourhoods. We look forward to continuing to introduce Stay Alfred guests to the Magic City and to becoming an integral part of the community at large.โ
The firm recently launched its own Rewards initiative, reportedly the first-of-its-kind loyalty programme in the alternative accommodations space, which will allow Miami travellers who sign up to access its โGreen Suitcase Societyโ members-only club.
