US: StayTerra has announced an investment in Vacation Homes of Hilton Head (VHHH), a luxury property management company operating on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
The deal marks the fourth brand added to the StayTerra platform since its launch nearly a year ago and expands the group’s presence into the southeastern Atlantic coast.
Founded in 2008 by Hilton Head natives Chris and Jacquelyn Sankowski, Vacation Homes of Hilton Head manages a portfolio of luxury vacation rental homes on the island. The business is known for its focus on property care, local staffing and technology-enabled pricing and management.
Hilton Head is one of the most established leisure markets in the US, attracting more than three million visitors annually. StayTerra said the investment provides an opportunity to grow its footprint on the island and in surrounding areas.
For VHHH, joining the StayTerra platform is expected to support further growth through access to capital, technology and operational support, while retaining its existing brand identity and local presence.
StayTerra operates a portfolio of luxury vacation rental management brands across the US, including Cape & Coast and Prime Vacations in Florida, and Moving Mountains in the Colorado Rockies. The platform is backed by Garnett Station Partners and Bessemer Venture Partners.
