The Thinking Traveller acquires White Key Villas
Greece: London-based luxury villa rental brand The Thinking Traveller has enhanced its Greek portfolio with the acquisition of White Key Villas.
Founded in 2002, The Thinking Traveller’s business currently spans European destinations such as Mallorca, Sicily, Puglia, Corsica, The Minor Italian islands, and the Greek Ionian and Sporades islands. With the latest purchase, the company will expand its existing portfolio of 70 exclusive villas in the Greek islands on the Cyclades, Saronic and Peloponnese islands, including tourist hotspots such as Mykonos, Tinos, Paros and Antiparos, and more set to be added in 2022.
Among the new villas added to the collection are Villa Mirkella in Hydra, Villa Roellia in Porto Heli, and Villa Selene in Kea.

In December 2020, The Thinking Traveller secured £7 million in investment from private equity firm Piper, with the aim to “curate a broader selection of exclusive villas in new destinations around the Mediterranean through strategic acquisitions and partnerships, market the brand further in its core markets including the UK, Europe the US and Australia, and scale the team to ensure clients and owners continue to experience excellent service and support”.
The company now claims to be the largest operator of luxury villas in Greece, and has been voted Top Villa Rental Company in the World for six consecutive years in Condé Nast Traveller’s Readers’ Choice Awards.
