Commission generating digital guide service Tipndo launches

Estonia: Tipndo, an online service where property managers can create commission generating digital guides for their listings, has launched.

Each digital guide has its own unique link and QR code, and is split into four sections:

● Activities – hosts can select the activities they wish to show their guests

● Live events – live events sourced from global ticketing providers

● Places – places of interest can be added to give guests some local advice

● Information – allows for hosts to add a wide variety of general topics from parking to kitchen amenities

All features are available in the free version. To earn a commission [up to six per cent] on sales, hosts have to opt for the pro version which starts at $4.99 / month per guide.

Hosts and property managers can create different guides from within their dashboard, which can also be used to download and share guide links and QR codes. The service is designed for hosts and property managers wanting to automate their cross-selling potential, as well as those who want to share advice whilst reducing the recurring questions guests tend to ask.

The Tipndo team consists of Thomas Kleinveld, a serial entrepreneur in the travel industry, and Jules Jamet, an entrepreneur and full stack developer. Both founders are currently bootstrapping the project.

Tipndo aims to help property managers add new value to their listings by sharing useful information, activities and upcoming live events for guests when they stay.

Co-founder Kleinveld said: “We believe property managers should monetise their guests’ experiences. With customisable digital guides, Tipndo brings automation and new potential revenue to the vacation rental scene.

“We’re all used to the QR codes in restaurants; after Covid, we have become used to scanning menus wherever we go. Property managers could capitalise by offering their guests digital guides with carefully selected activities and useful information,” he added.
