US: Xplorie, a leading guest experience platform for the vacation rental industry, has partnered with virtual tour technology and quality photography provider, TruPlace, to launch a vacation rental roadshow this autumn.
The roadshow, known as “Spirit of VR”, will be in the form of a series of summer-ending celebrations designed to safely bring the industry together for food, drinks, and camaraderie, while helping to raise money for local charities.
Spirit of VR kicks off on Tuesday 27 October in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, at Sanctuary Vineyards, and will stop off at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina at Tidal Creek Brewing on Thursday 29 October, and the Dali Museum in Tampa / St. Petersburg, Florida on 4 November, before making its final stop at Baytown Wharf in Destin, Florida, the home of Xplorie’s corporate office.
Rebecca Lombardo, vice president of sales and marketing at TruPlace, said: “We’re calling this roadshow ‘Spirit of VR’ because more than ever before 2020 has proven that you simply cannot dampen the vacation rental industry’s spirit of hospitality. Although the pandemic has been particularly crippling for many segments of travel, the vacation rental industry is leading the industry’s comeback with many drive-to vacation destinations seeing record number of visitors.
“Between servicing these guests on what has often been reduced staffing levels, and navigating new cleaning procedures, governmental regulations, and a devastating hurricane season, this summer has been particularly taxing, so we’re hitting the road to show our support for our clients and these companies who are working tirelessly for their guests right now,” she added.
Event attendees and their families will be welcomed at each stop by a decked-out RV together with lounge chairs, hammocks, and corn hole games, along with complimentary food trucks during each events official happy hour gatherings.
Vendors such as home automation provider Parakeet, dynamic pricing solution Beyond Pricing, vacation rental wifi solution provider Silicon Travel, and online marketing solution RealTech will also be participating at the Spirit of VR roadshow.
TruPlace, which launched in 2003, has created over 90,000 virtual tours and 15 million photos for owners hoping to sell or rent out their properties by marketing them in a virtual format, including interactive floor plans, 3D tours and walkthrough videos to showcase property listings at their best.
Meanwhile, Xplorie has partnered with more than 130 property managers who represent 11,000+ vacation rentals across 65 popular vacation rental destinations in the USA and Canada.
The proceeds of the events will be directed to the Children & Youth Partnership for Dare County, The Grand Strand Humane Society, Feeding Tampa Bay and The Florida Disaster Fund.
