TrustedStays and Katanox partner to open up supply for corporates

Netherlands / UK: Amsterdam-based travel accommodation distribution and fintech platform, Katanox, has partnered with TrustedStays, an industry booking platform for professional short-term rentals, to give business travellers access to an extensive network of accredited short-term rental properties and property managers.

TrustedStays, which launched on the Global Distribution System [GDS] in May, will open up a substantial new supply market for corporate bookers through the partnership, while leveraging Katanox’ fintech software for flexible payment solutions.

According to the 2023 edition of the Global Serviced Apartment Industry Report [GSAIR], 53 per cent of corporate bookers surveyed said that they were using serviced apartments for business travel more than they were 12 months ago, and 39 per cent reported using them for project or assignment work.

At the same time, the report added that 89 per cent of corporate bookers expect length of stay to rise or stay level this year and 87 per cent of agents observed a rise among their own clients, up from 45 per cent a year ago.

The report was released by Ariosi Group, part of the Habicus Group and sister company to serviced apartment agent SilverDoor.

TrustedStays CEO Merilee Karr said: “Katanox is at the forefront of hospitality technology, connecting supply to travel management companies in an efficient way. Their single point of entry [API] into the market on both the supply and demand side enables us to scale as efficiently as possible.

“By working with Katanox, we are able to bring a new and rapidly growing form of accommodation to corporate travel bookers, opening up a host of new opportunities for ourselves and travel management companies,” she added.

All TrustedStays property partners are independently accredited by its accreditation partners, including Quality in Tourism, ensuring safe, clean and secure accommodation for employees during work trips and relocations.

Richard Moseley, VP, hotel partnerships, Katanox, said: “What’s unique about our partnership with TrustedStays is it not only brings additional supply for our travel management company partners, but an entirely new kind of supply, which is becoming more popular among business travellers.

“As the hospitality space expands and evolves, our platform will evolve with it, ensuring we provide the very best opportunities for accommodation sellers and buyers,” he added.

TrustedStays works in partnership with Quality in Tourism, the UK Short-Term Accommodation Association [STAA] and the UK Apartment Association [UKAA] to provide professionally managed, accredited home accommodation for business travellers. As well as corporates, it also provides a trusted route for government to offer apartments and homes as an option to their employees when they travel.
