UnderTheDoormat secures $7 million funding

UK / Middle East: Short-term rental solutions provider UnderTheDoormat Group has secured $7 million in a funding round led by tourism development company Omran Group. The round was supported by Smedvig Capital and other existing investors. 

The London-based STR business said that the funding will be used for international expansion and to support development of its technology platforms, namely property management system Hospiria and B2B accommodation platform TrustedStays. It will also be used to support the opening of short-term rentals in Oman and across the Gulf region and supply the onboarding of new hosts and real estate companies.

Back in 2022, UnderTheDoormat signed a partnership agreement with Visit Oman. Visit Oman chose Hospiria as its technology partner for STR expansion within Oman. The companies said the work is “fully aligned with Oman’s Vision 2040, a strategic roadmap to diversify the economy, grow tourism and support SMEs through digital innovation.”
