US: Uplisting, a technology platform that enables short-term rental property managers and businesses to seamlessly organise their properties and bookings, has integrated with Dtravel, a direct booking ecosystem powered by smart contracts that offers payment in cryptocurrency as well as traditional methods.
The partnership will enable Uplisting’s users the option to add Dtravel as a channel, and with a few clicks, launch their own direct booking site powered by smart contract technology. Once connected, Dtravel hosts will be able to use Uplisting to manage their listings across multiple platforms, benefitting from the software’s accurate system that never double books – ensuring peace of mind for any booking that comes from through the platform.
Uplisting’s members can take advantage of lower fees, instant payouts and rewards, while also reaching a new audience of web3 travellers who wish to pay in cryptocurrencies, as well as fiat payment options. The partnership will ultimately provide hosts with increased business ownership by giving them added control over the payment processing layer.
The latest integration follows the launch of Uplisting’s direct booking engine product in 2020, which helped its property manager members generate $14.5 million in direct booking revenue in 2021, and is now on course to process $30 million in direct bookings by the end of 2022.
Vince Breslin, co-founder and CEO of Uplisting said: “Partnering with Dtravel is an exciting move for us. Dtravel is providing an incredibly valuable use for crypto that’s often been discussed but never realised, until now.
“Incorporating Dtravel’s web3 capabilities will offer our members greater control and ownership of their business, which has always been a core objective for Uplisting,” he added.
James Soulodre, head of marketing at Dtravel, said: “We really value how innovative and supportive the team at Uplisting is when it comes to direct bookings. Uplisting not only has an incredibly robust product, but they have refined their user experience to the point where it is extremely easy for hosts to onboard and try it out for themselves.
“Our mission is to remove intermediaries by providing hosts with the technology layer to gain complete control of their money, terms, policies and relationships with guests. Uplisting is a key partner to making this a reality,” he added.
