US: Chicago-based VirtualKEY, a smart home automation tech platform for managers and operators, has integrated with next-generation enterprise property management system Direct.ย
The latter is a PMS for vacation rental managers based across the United States and is also based in Chicago.
In a statement, Direct co-founder and CEO, Wes Smithe, said: “We are beyond thrilled to announce our integration with VirtualKEY. The platform is amazing end-to-end, their approach to the market is frictionless, and their dynamic team is making a huge impact in the industry.
“This seamless integration allows managers to automate operations in the most personalised way possible,โ he added.
As a result of integrating VirtualKEYโs technology, rental management companies running via Direct can generate temporary access codes for short-term renters, allowing guests to unlock the door thanks to a four-digit PIN or their mobile devices for the entire period of their stay. On expiry of the reservation, the temporary code automatically deactivates and an audit trail for security purposes is established.
Furthermore, property managers will be able to automate temperature changes, modify lighting, utilise a voice-assisted concierge service, monitor staff effectively and protect assets using noise, smoke and leak sensors.
VirtualKEY CEO Resha Shroff said: “It gives me immense pleasure to announce the Integration with Direct, an all-in-one property management software with next-gen technology disrupting our industry. Direct will make it easier for property managers to manage their properties, staff, vendors, guests, and bookings in one single platform.โ
