VRMA announces upcoming merger with VRHP

US: The Vacation Rental Management Association [ VRMA ] has announced a merger with the Vacation Rental Housekeeping Professionals [ VRHP ].

The partnership between the VRMA and non-profit organisation VRHP, which is dedicated to the advancement of vacation rental housekeeping professionals, was announced at the annual VRMA International Conference in New Orleans at the end of October.

VRHP executive director Durk Johnson said: “Our goal with this merger is to maintain continuity of representation and services for the industry, enhance the level of benefits for current VRHP members and grow the overall membership base of vacation rental professionals.”

The merger, which comes into effect on 1 January 2020, increases the scope of both organisations, allowing industry resources to be shared seamlessly, and brings membership together under one roof. VRHP will continue to operate under the same name, while its board of directors will become the VRHP governing council.

VRMA executive director Mike Copps said: “We are thrilled to officially join forces with VRHP. We have been long-standing partners, and this exciting move will expand the influence and reach of both organisations.”
