Wyndham Destinations announces Utah and Arizona developments

Wyndham Destinations has announced the proposed development of a new timeshare resort in Moab, Utah, and the construction of more suites at its existing resort in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Both properties are a part of the WorldMark by Wyndham brand property portfolio, which features over 90 resorts in a range of destinations from sea to ski and coast to coast.

The new Moab property, which is expected to open in 2020, will feature more than 150 condo-style units of one to three-bedroom suites. The resort will also feature WorldMark presidential suites, featuring suites with up to four bedrooms and enhanced amenities.

Visitors to Moab will be able to visit both the Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Park near to the resort, making it one of the most-requested new destinations of WorldMark owners.

Furthermore, the Utah tourist destination is proposing spacious suites for families so that they can spend more time together, and they also include full amenities like separate bedrooms, living and dining areas for relaxation and fully-equipped kitchens. As part of the project, a sales gallery is also being constructed at the resort, which is expected to open in late 2020.

The latest resort will be the largest development project in Moab history.

Michael D. Brown, president and CEO of Wyndham Destinations, said: “Our owners love the proximity of WorldMark by Wyndham resorts to national parks throughout the country, so families can explore these incredible landmarks while spending more time together. Moab, Utah, is a spectacular destination for outdoor activities and we can’t wait to offer this new destination to our nearly 900,000 owners.

“We are confident that our ongoing collaboration with Gardiner Properties will further strengthen our presence in this thriving region,” he added.

Gardiner Properties, LLC, will be developing the project, and when the construction is completed, Wyndham Destinations will purchase units at the resort as well as manage the sales and marketing of vacation ownership, resort operations, and timeshare homeowners’ association management.

John Gardiner, president of Gardiner Properties, said: “We are pleased to engage with Wyndham Destinations to bring another first-class timeshare resort to their portfolio. This project is further testament to the successful relationship made possible through this unique collaboration.”

It will be the company’s sixth vacation club resort in Utah. Wyndham Destinations also manages Wyndham Park City in Park City, WorldMark Bear Lake in Garden City, WorldMark Midway in Midway, WorldMark St. George in St. George and WorldMark Wolf Creek in Eden.

In addition, the WorldMark by Wyndham vacation club is planning to add 40 suites to the WorldMark Scottsdale at the Scottsdale Silverado Golf Course, which are projected to be available by late 2019.

As a part of the expansion, the company plans to offer additional presidential suites, which feature larger one-, two-, and four-bedroom suites for families.
