US: Guest experience solution Xplorie has announced the appointment of Caleb Yaryan as its chief technology officer [CTO].
In the role, Yaryan will directly oversee the company’s engineering, and technology development and support teams, as well as leading new product development, an area that has contributed significantly to the company’s rapid expansion over the past few years. He joined the company at the beginning of March.
The Florida-headquartered company seeks to deliver solutions that help lodging providers leverage local tours and attractions to differentiate their properties, improve guest loyalty and increase top-line revenue. Tasked with scaling the Xplorie platform in support of both United States and anticipated international operations, Yaryan will also be focused on enhancing the company’s data insights to support Xplorie partners in further reducing their guest acquisition costs.
Bringing more than 15 years of experience in enterprise software development, Yaryan’s background spanning both the tours and attractions industry as well as proptech makes him uniquely positioned to lead Xplorie’s technology team.
Most recently serving as senior product owner at BoomTown, a leading CRM and sales and marketing solution for real estate agents, the newly-appointed CTO previously founded and ran City Corridor, a ticketing and tours and attractions sales kiosk platform which was later acquired by Delaware North. He also routinely served as a technology consultant for Fortune 500 organisations.
Xplorie CTO Caleb Yaryan said: “I am excited and humbled to have the opportunity to join the Xplorie team during this time of incredible growth. Xplorie is uniquely positioned to provide innovative solutions for the leisure lodging industry by leveraging our team, technology, and data to build even more value for our clients.”
Matthew Loney, president and CEO of Xplorie, said: “In the rapidly evolving hospitality industry, staying on the leading edge is essential as we seek to provide lodging providers with the best solutions. Caleb’s entrepreneurial spirit and experience successfully scaling and leading product and technology teams are a great fit with Xplorie’s ambitious growth plans.
“We are delighted to welcome him to our team,” he added.
Yaryan’s hiring follows that of Natalie Hernandez in January as Xplorie’s newly-created VP of activity partnerships to strengthen and broaden relationships with local tours and attractions.
