US: Hospitality podcast hosts Wil Slickers and Adam Knight have launched Recreation Rentals, a new boutique luxury vacation rental brand based in the Pacific Northwest.
The company’s inventory will focus on US-wide destinations with high tourism growth potential.
The two industry experts, with a combined 30 years of hospitality management experience and expertise, are joining forces to bring ‘guest-first’ hotel-like experiences and trusted branded stays to the short-term rental industry.
Wil Slickers, co-founder and host of the Slick Talk Hospitality Podcast, said: “Our motive behind launching Recreation Rentals is simple. To provide amazing hospitality and curated experiences and moments for our guests and at the same time providing revenue and exemplary service for our owners.
“Hospitality is in our blood and finding non-traditional destinations and experiences that embrace the deepest essence of hospitality is our passion,” he added.
Slickers, who will serve as co-founder and destination director of Recreation Rentals, will continue to run his network of hospitality podcasts, Slick Talk Hospitality Podcast and Good Morning Hospitality, and advise other hospitality brands.
His career began by working for a Marriott Autograph Collection 4 Diamond property with over 700 rooms, before moving on to manage an all-suite hotel on the Oregon Coast, and leaping into full-time self-employment and entrepreneurship.
Adam Knight, co-founder and host of The Proven Principles Podcast, said: “I couldn’t be more excited to start this company and put all of my experiences to the test and build a well-known brand that guests, owners, and other industry experts will be proud to know.”
Knight will take up the role of co-founder and managing partner at Recreation Rentals, having previously worked across luxury hotel brands such as Fairmont and St. Regis.
Over the next 12 months, the main aim for Recreation Rentals will be to build a trusted brand with “curated high-level experiences, exceptional brand standards and unforgettable properties”.
