City Relay hires Jack de Montaignac as COO
London: Property management company City Relay has formally announced the appointment of Jack de Montaignac as its chief operating officer [COO].
De Montaignac joined City Relay at the beginning of January to help scale operations and ensure business expansion plans are effectively delivered. He is the latest senior hire at City Relay, and his appointment completes the new leadership team that has formed over the last six months following substantial investment secured in 2019.
Expansion plans for City Relay in 2020 include opening four additional Reception Spaces so that more short stay guests can benefit from the face-to-face personal service that the company offers. This will create opportunities to welcome more hosts extending beyond the 35 London postcodes in which the company currently operates.
De Montaignac’s latest role as COO is therefore critical to ensuring operational excellence is maintained as the business scales into further areas of London.
He was previously the chief commercial officer at Laundrapp, where his achievements included launching a new platform to the market (initially in London and then into the other major cities in the UK), implementing more product lines throughout the business and driving international expansion.
City Relay founder and CEO, Maxime Leufroy-Murat, said: “We are very excited to welcome Jack to the team and leverage his operational experience as we grow our business in 2020. Jack has joined at a crucial time for City Relay as we expedite plans and replicate the success we have achieved to date further into Central, East and North London.”
De Montaignac said: “I am delighted to be joining City Relay. It’s an incredibly exciting business, filled with dynamic people and the potential is enormous.”
