Former Equinox COO Turchin joins Mint House exec board

US: Tech-enabled long- and short-stay brand, Mint House, has appointed Judy Turchin, former chief operating officer at Equinox, as independent director of the group’s executive board.

Turchin brings more than two decades of real estate and operational knowledge to her role with Mint House. In addition to Equinox, she has also worked with Blackstone Real Estate.

The board of directors at Mint House features seven members across the hospitality, real estate, operations, and investment sectors. Turchin joins the former CEO of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, the former president of Euro Disney, and investors from Revolution and Ingleside.

“I’ve always been drawn to companies that prioritise the customer experience, and Mint House does this exceptionally well with its apartment-style amenities and connected workspaces,” said Turchin. “I’m excited to collaborate with the incredible team at Mint House as we redefine how consumers experience this new era of travel, and I look forward to being a part of Mint House’s continued success.”

Christian Lee, who was appointed CEO of Mint House last March, said: “Judy’s commitment to driving value and fostering a positive impact across the industries she serves aligns seamlessly with our mission to exceed industry standards and redefine the hospitality industry. Going forward Judy will play a pivotal role alongside our team and board members in steering Mint House to dynamic and sustained growth.”

Founded in 2017, Mint House has properties located throughout the United States and caters to both long- and short-term stays, available to guests for days, weeks or months.

In May 2022, the aparthotel brand partnered up with Mohari Hospitality in a $35 million Series B financing round as it sought to disrupt the US extended stay sector.
