Opago acquires Staykeepers assets

UK: One-stop property management solutionย Opago has announced the acquisition of the assets of defunct proptech company Staykeepers.

Opago has officially acquired the business names [including trademarks] of the Staykeepers brand, as well as company records and intellectual property rights, marking its commitment to expansion and to addressing the challenges faced by Staykeepers before it entered administration in September and subsequently went out of business.

The acquisition is also seen as an opportunity for Opago to revive and build upon the legacy of a business which it described as “once standing out as a beacon in the intersection of the short-term rental and purpose-built student accommodation [PBSA] markets”.

By analysing the challenges faced, Opago is strategically positioning itself to implementย effective technology solutions, ensuring a seamless transition that benefits both currentย and future stakeholders, and paving the way for a new chapter in short-term accommodation excellence.

MD Erskine Berry said: “Weย recognise the rich history and potential of Staykeepers, and we are excited to breatheย new life into their business model. Our goal is to build on the successes of Staykeepers,ย addressing the challenges it faced, and ultimately providing enhanced services to ourย valued clients.”

With a track record of bridging gaps in the accommodation market, Opago said that the acquisition aligns perfectly with its vision of “creating a comprehensive platform thatย caters to the diverse needs of short-term renting and managing purpose built studentย accommodation”.

The integration of Staykeepers’ assets into Opagoโ€™s business is set to result in aย robust and dynamic platform that is designed to offer a wide range of accommodation options,ย superior customer service, and innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of theย market.
