OyoLife forms strategic alliance with Daito
Japan: Japanese short-term rental startup OyoLife.co.jp has strategic aligned with Daito Trust Construction to further promote its listings across the country.
As per the partnership, OyoLife will be able to introduce a range of alternative accommodation properties to customers who wish to have subscription-type rentals from Daito.
Tokyo-based Daito, which was founded in 1974, owns and operates rental search engine EHeya, rental housing site JSee, rental property brokerage HouseCom, and real estate guarantor-finding site House-Leave.
The OyoLife brand was formed as a joint venture between Yahoo Japan and Indian hotel startup Oyo. Since launching in April this year, the mobile-friendly platform has seen its listings exceed 1,900 rooms as it competes in the same market as Suumo.jp, Lifull Homes, AtHome, HomeDirect, InstaBase.jp, 4Jigen.Space and Rakuten Lifull Stay.
