STRz partners with AJL for free educational course for Shortyz entrants

UK / Zurich: ShortTermRentalz, part of the International Hospitality Media [IHM] portfolio, has partnered with boutique advisory firm AJL Atelier to offer a free digital educational session with Switzerland’s, which would typically cost £199, to everyone submitting entries for the 2021 Shortyz Awards.

On, entrants can choose from a variety of courses specifically created for the vacation rental industry, including revenue and profitability, strategy, distribution, operations, tech and marketing. Each course contains six core modules designed to deliver full knowledge to those already involved in short-term rentals or those looking to enter the market for the first time.

Those who enter or have already entered will be able to select any one of the six vacation rental courses they would like to take for free, with each nominee receiving a generic code to access one free course at one time only. Meanwhile, the 2021 Shortyz Awards winners will be offered collections / scholarships consisting of all six courses together.

Taking place virtually on Thursday 22 April, the 2021 Shortyz Awards will bring hospitality leaders together to recognise excellence amongst industry industry peers, highlight innovation and industry best practice, reward achievement and celebrate startup technology.

The inaugural 2020 event was held aboard Bateaux London on the River Thames in March 2020 prior to the global lockdown, and brought together more than 150 short-term rental professionals to recognise collective achievement and success in the sector.  More than 250 companies entered last year’s awards and over 12,000 votes were cast across the 13 award categories.

This has now been increased to 18 with the addition of six new categories for 2021:

  • Best holiday or home exchange platform
  • Best leisure property management company
  • Best urban property management company
  • UK Staycation Award
  • Innovator / Disruptor Award
  • Courage in Adversity Award
