Sykes unveils UK staycation advertising campaign
UK: The latest TV advert from holiday cottage agency Sykes Holiday Cottages will air until the end of March 2023 and is built around the 1990s track Let’s Get Ready to Rhumble.
Sykes’ 30-second advert features different groups of travellers – including family, couples, friends, and pet owners – preparing for and experiencing a UK break.
It was filmed in various locations throughout North Wales and serves as a source of inspiration to book a staycation holiday with Sykes.
The re-record of Let’s Get Ready to Rhumble includes taglines such as “Get Ready for Sykes” and “Get Ready for Your Next Holiday”. The advert has been produced by ABG Pictures and Media Agency Group.
Chris Algar, managing director at Sykes Holiday Cottages, said: “We returned to North Wales for a third time to film our latest TV advertising campaign, which aims to highlight the simplicity of staycationing and the experiences available across the UK.
“We were sold on the creative as soon as we heard the soundtrack. We know that guests want to be happy, relaxed, and carefree when researching, planning, booking, and taking their holidays and feel the style of the advert and the song reflect that. The marketing team has been humming the song for the past few months and we’re sure viewers will do the same once they hear it!”

“Subsequently, we developed a creative built around Ant & Dec’s iconic track Let’s Get Ready to Rhumble. The song holds enormous nostalgic value for the British audience and North Wales’ stunning scenery gave us a great springboard for showcasing the relaxation and adventure a getaway with Sykes offers.
“Paddle-boarding, open-water swimming and hiking were mixed with more tender moments, such as cuddling in front of roaring fires or unwinding in indulgent hot tubs. Combined with an exceptional cast, this allowed us to convey that whatever type of trip you want to take, there is a Sykes holiday cottage to suit your needs, whoever you are,” added Ambler.
