Worldwide: Public voting has opened for the 2026 edition of the Shortyz Awards, with industry professionals invited to help decide the winners across a set of people-focused categories. The vote closes on 29 March.
The awards, which recognise innovation and achievement across the short-term rental sector, are this year placing five individual categories entirely in the hands of the public.
These include the Rentalpreneur Award, Innovator / Disruptor Award, Rising Star, Pioneer Award and Best Travel Influencer.
Entries can be viewed and voted on via the Judgify platform, where users can select a category, review submissions and cast their vote.
Voters are able to participate across multiple categories, but can only vote once per entry.
The public voting format is intended to give the industry a direct role in recognising individuals who are influencing the future of short-term rentals.
The Rentalpreneur Award recognises individuals who are supporting and educating new hosts, while the Innovator / Disruptor category highlights those introducing new ideas or solutions to the sector.
The Rising Star category focuses on emerging talent within the past five years, while the Pioneer Award recognises established leaders with a track record of long-term impact.
The Best Travel Influencer category highlights creators who are driving visibility and engagement for short-term rentals through content and partnerships.
Voting is open now and will close on 29 March.
The shortlist will be announced on 30 March.
