VRTECH rebrands for vacation rental community

Barcelona: VRTECH has announced its rebranding as a large global community that brings together vacation rental professionals to inspire each other, share ideas and accelerate innovation in the industry.

The transformation highlights three pillars that stand for VRTECH’s central values – community, innovation and insights. The team behind the VRTECH Startup Competition insist that all three are needed to push the industry forward, and give members access to them through events, thought leadership and the tech startup competition.

In light of the challenges faced in 2020, the VRTECH team said it believed strongly in the strength of community to hammer through, endure, and overcome the difficulties presented to the industry.

Launched in 2015, VRTECH has been connecting the industry’s players for five years. Through global events, startup competitions and content, it has created a global network of engaged members who share their technology-forward and human-centric approach.

So far, it has organised more than 80 events in different countries, built a community of 5,000+ members, and hosted the VRTECH Startup Competition for four years in a row.

The Startup Competition provides an opportunity for young innovative companies to showcase their products and gain international visibility. Each year, winners are selected and announced at an awards ceremony during the Vacation Rental World Summit, with all-in-one review aggregator Revyoos claiming this year’s prize.

VRTECH also sponsors Vacation Rental Tech Week and The Trip Circus conference, which had to be postponed due to Covid restrictions.

Vacation Rental Tech Week, the first of which was held in 2019, is a series of meet-ups and events dedicated to connecting property managers and innovative technology providers. It aims to provide an immersive experience and give participants a chance to dive deep into topics that other events do not have time to explore.

Furthermore, as an all-women team, VRTECH said it fully endorses female leadership and gender equality.

VRTECH founder Vanessa de Souza Lage said: “VRTECH believes that it’s essential for us to come together, discuss our industry’s future and support each other so that we can strengthen our industry and effect real change. We are so excited to be launching this revival with renewed focus and look forward to having a greater impact on our community.”
