Xplorie bolsters team with trio of key new hires
US: Guest experience solution Xplorie has announced that it is growing its team with three new appointments.
The company has brought in Tim Walker as its new chief financial officer [CFO], Tom Kenyon as vice president of B2B product marketing, and Dustin Farist as director of software engineering, as three of seven new hires for the company so far this year.
Claiming to be the largest provider of smart guest experience technology built on the Amazon Alexa platform in North America [surpassing the likes of Disney], Xplorie has stepped up its plans to further help lodging providers stand out from the competition by differentiating their properties and driving guest loyalty.
Walker steps into the CFO role at Xplorie with over twenty years of broad-based business experience in Fortune 500 companies as well as smaller, emerging growth companies.
He said: “As a customer, I have personally enjoyed, and been impressed with the guest experiences and people at Xplorie. I am delighted to join the team as we continue the ongoing evolution to better serve our lodging providers in delivering exceptional guest experiences.”
Meanwhile, Kenyon is an experienced product designer who takes on the role of VP of B2B product marketing.
Before joining Xplorie at the beginning of June, Kenyon built up more than a decade of experience in product roles for a global B2B SaaS platform, where he was responsible for defining the product vision, roadmap and features. He will now focus on overseeing the B2B arm of Xplorie’s product marketing; a crucial element of the company’s operation as it introduces its new technologies to create authentic guest loyalty.
Kenyon said: “This next year is going to be one of the most innovative and exciting times for Xplorie. In an industry reshaped by the past few years, we have returned to what matters most – inspiring travellers.
“I am thrilled to join this incredible culture at Xplorie and continue to grow its professional hospitality community,” he added.
Farist joins Xplorie as the new director of software engineering, with a deep understanding of software development for property platforms. With more than 12 years of software experience, his transition to Xplorie follows his background as a principal software engineer for real estate platform BoomTown, where he honed his skills in guiding engineering strategy and managing technical risks to the company’s product strategy.
His key focuses for Xplorie are building a strong technical foundation for Xplorie’s ambitious business initiatives and future growth, as well as overseeing the daily operations of software engineering teams and technology partners.
Farist said: “I joined Xplorie because the company has a rare product that’s beneficial to everyone who uses it — lodging providers, activity providers, and, of course, its guests. I’m honoured and delighted to be part of the team and can’t wait to build what’s next for Xplorie.”
Xplorie CEO Matt Loney said: “These three new hires reflect a time of growth for Xplorie, as we continue to evolve and respond to industry progression. We are excited to have Tom, Dustin and Tim join us in key roles alongside a number of other recent new hires across the business, as we continue our mission to help lodging providers create guest loyalty with experiences that are second to none.”
