San Francisco: Vacation rental management company Rentl has announced the appointment of Richard Thomas as its VP of sales & marketing.
In his new role, Thomas will be responsible for activity across marketing, communications, business development and revenue management.
The Harvard University graduate has over 20 years’ experience in marketing to affluent audiences and has directed strategic domestic and international campaigns across the hospitality, technology and private aviation industries.
Prior to joining Rentl, Thomas was VP of marketing at Silicon Valley aviation technology company Stellar Labs, where he was tasked with managing all aspects of marketing and communications. Before that, he launched and directed Philtre Digital, a London-based marketing and communications agency, where he developed and implemented full-scale marketing and communications campaigns for a diverse client portfolio.
Thomas will lead the company’s sales and marketing efforts to US vacation homeowners in a range of key markets who want to rent out their properties, and also its newly-launched short-term rental platform, Powered by Rentl, which is targeted at residential real estate agents.

Rentl is now live in North Lake Tahoe, Truckee, South Lake Tahoe, Breckenridge, Vail and the Greater Palm Springs area, and is set to launch several new markets by 2020.
