Home renovation show Cash Pad to debut on CNBC
US: JoJo Fletcher, best known for her role on ABC’s The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, is teaming up with her fiancé Jordan Rodgers for a CNBC primetime home renovation project, Cash Pad.
In the show, Fletcher and Rodgers collaborate with homeowners hoping to turn their properties into their ideal short-term rentals, by transforming seemingly ordinary spaces with unlocked potential into profitable rental destinations.
It is being produced by Electus with Chris Grant, Drew Buckley, Tim Puntillo, Craig Plestis and Ming Lee Howell as executive producers, while Jim Ackerman and Marshall Eisen are the executive producers for CNBC.
What does Cash Pad entail?
CNBC announced the addition of Cash Pad to the network’s primetime lineup back in January. In a press release, it said: “Cash Pad, a home renovation series in which Bachelorette couple-turned-home flippers JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers transform ordinary homes and apartments into lucrative short-term rental properties.”
The duo will put their years of experience of renovating homes into practice and partner with homeowners by investing in their properties which are in need of refurbishment. CNBC says it wants the pair to recreate them into incredible “vacation goldmines”.
Rodgers said in an exclusive promotion piece for People: “The short-term rental market is booming. Right now, people all across the country are choosing to stay at cool, unique properties instead of cookie-cutter hotels.”
Along the way, the duo will fulfil their goal of building a nationwide portfolio of profitable short-term rentals in the hottest markets, with all profits being eventually shared between the pair and the homeowners.
“We’re unlocking the hidden value that turns unused crash pads into money making cash pads,” they said.
When does Cash Pad launch?
Cash Pad will premiere on Tuesday, 23 July 23 at 10 p.m. ET on CNBC. In the most recent teaser, Fletcher and Rodgers are seen travelling across the United States working with various couples and there are some emotional scenes when the final renovations are unveiled.
How can one watch Cash Pad on catch up?
As well as its slot on CNBC primetime, catch-up episodes are available via the CNBC website and app; the latter being accessible on iOS, Android, Amazon Fire, Apple TV, Android TV, Roku and Xbox.
