City Relay Solutions sets up SafeStay programme
UK: London-based property management operations company City Relay Solutions has launched a dedicated programme called SafeStay to tackle the need for improved standards in the industry.
SafeStay is a commitment from City Relay Solutions as it seeks to provide the best property cleaning service in London.
City Relay Solutions believe that serviced apartments and short-let businesses are very well positioned for social distancing. Its insights furthermore suggest that the industries are recovering better than traditional hotels in those areas that are starting to open up following the lockdowns.
However, at the same time, the company admits that it is aware that staying in an apartment can be less consistent in its standards than a hotel from a consumer perspective. For that reason, it has designed and launched the service, which provides a number of core benefits:
PPE worn by all employees
All staff now wear Personal Protective Equipment [known as PPE] in all properties at all times to ensure the safety of its clients and their guests. It has also pledged to provide PPE to all of its clients.
Cleaning products
It has reviewed all of its cleaning products to ensure they are strong enough and appropriate to tackle Covid-19, but without any risk of damage to property and ensuring they remain environmentally-friendly.
Guidelines
Its cleaning processes and procedures have beeen reviewed to ensure they are in line with the WHO [World Health Organisation] and UK government advice as it closely monitors that guidance for changes.
Social distancing
City Relay Solutions has also implemented social distancing measures to ensure that its staff are not within close proximity of their customers staff or guests. The reception space of its sister company, City Relay, in Victoria is now open and has been optimised for social distancing measures.
CPD Certified cleaners
Finally, all cleaners are CPD [Continuing Professional Development] certified, meaning they hold The British Cleaning Certificate.
SafeStay is in addition to the specific Covid-19 cleaning services that City Relay Solutions launched last month, which include anti-viral cleaning, disinfecting cleaning and upholstery cleaning.
What are the future plans for SafeStay?
The company plans to develop SafeStay further over the coming months to ensure that the best standards of cleanliness are upheld across the industry.
The City Relay Solutions brand was unveiled at the Short Stay Show back in March, aiming to deliver “operational excellence to hospitality clients in London”.
Its 80-strong team of employees, led by commercial director Erskine Berry and COO Jack de Montaignac, works to meet the needs of short-let operators, serviced apartment owners, and extended stay providers and their guests. The team is made up of account managers, drivers, guest services representatives, housekeepers, maintenance staff and night managers providing around the clock support from its head office in White City.
