Domio appoints Calvin Anderson as chief commercial officer

US: Short-term rental and aparthotel hospitality brand, Domio, has made another addition to its senior executive team, with Calvin Anderson being appointed as chief commercial officer.

Anderson brings ten years of experience in high-growth technology and lodging companies to his latest role. Most recently, he became a founding member of OYO U.S. in Palo Alto in California, serving as head of commercial, North America.

He also has expertise in overseeing revenue optimisation for brands such as Red Lion Hotels Corp, Hilton Worldwide and Highgate Hotels around the United States.

The newly-appointed CCO saw his achievements in the hospitality space recognised when, as a serving member of the HMSAI Americas [Hospitality, Sales and Marketing Association International, he was named as one of “20 Next-Gen Leaders” by Hotels Magazine in 2018.

In a statement, Domio CEO and co-founder, Jay Roberts, said: “We are continuing to strengthen our leadership team at Domio by recruiting the best and brightest minds in hospitality, and Calvin is an integral addition. Calvin is the definition of an upstart with a decade in commercial and thought leadership experience in technology and hospitality.”

In December, Domio raised $100 million in a Series B funding round with the intention to expand its business in the United States and into 25 global markets by the end of the calendar year.

As chief commercial officer, Anderson will be overseeing and managing all commercial endeavours for Domio, including revenue management, sales, performance marketing, distribution, data and technology architecture, and dynamic pricing systems for the company’s growing property portfolio.
