Koddi announces expansion and partnerships

US: Ad technology platform Koddi has announced its expansion into new channels, including partnerships with  metasearch engines Trivago and Kayak and online travel agency Priceline.

The business hopes these new channels will allow its customers to improve website traffic and create value for travel advertisers.

Koddi Ads, the company’s advertising programme, leverages the company’s technology, data and industry knowledge to directly connect with consumers. This provides a diverse stream of advertising for travel brands by providing direct and particular placements.

The company has also announced its expansion into vacation rentals and alternative accommodation. It hopes to provide advanced marketing tech solutions to a business segment that lacks mechanisms already existing in the hotel space.

Nicholas Ward, president and co-founder of Koddi, said: “The travel industry has faced an obstacle that no one could have predicted or prepared for this year, and while it’s been challenging, our teams have done an amazing job expanding our business through our service lines and products such as Koddi Ads. This product comes at a critical time as every hotel and hotel chain is looking to recover, maximise bookings and recapture lost revenue.

“We are also very excited about our partnership with Priceline, one of the most recognised and reputable brands in our industry. This collaboration will benefit Priceline as well as hoteliers who are seeking to grow as the industry recovers from Covid-19,” he added.

By partnering with Koddi, Priceline hopes to supplement its advertising and open new revenue streams. Short-term rental properties will now be able to use Koddi’s software to improve sales and visibility.

Priceline’s parent company, Booking Holdings, has seen a difficult year due to the global pandemic. The company posted a near $700 million loss in Q1 2020 and saw gross bookings plummet in Q2 by 91 per cent.

Koddi was founded in 2013 to provide ad tech optimisation and media management services for a wide range of top brands. The business received a 2020 Stevie Award for Great Employers due to its positive working environment.
