Pass the Keys grows due to partnership programme

UK: Leading London-based property management firm Pass the Keys has announced its growth into three further cities: Cardiff, Windsor and Belfast.

The prop-tech startup, which offers property management for hosts on short-letting platforms such as Airbnb, has achieved considerable growth since launching in 2015. With the recent launch of the brand’s innovative partnership programme, Pass the Keys now operates in 14 UK cities, including London, Brighton, Manchester, Edinburgh, York and Oxford.

The partnership programme aims to offer aspiring property managers access to the bespoke and highly scalable management framework that has formed the foundations of Pass the Keys’ success to this point. By signing up to use the firm’s tech+ops methodology, the programme allows local partners to utilise the tools needed to operate and manage hundreds of short-let properties simultaneously through a single user interface.

Pass the Keys CEO Alexander Lyakhotskiy said: “It’s taken us three years to learn how to manage a short-let property portfolio at scale, and I can tell you it’s not as easy as it seems!

“We are excited to be able to put this knowledge to good use and enable local entrepreneurs to bring our short-let management service to hosts and guests in all corners of the UK and then hopefully see it expand around the world!

“We are extremely excited to already have new partners onboard, and we’re looking forward to building their portfolios with them and helping them achieve success,” he added.

Pass the Keys launched in 2015 as a property management service for UK homeowners, allowing them to collaborate with home-sharing platforms such as Airbnb, HomeAway and Booking.com.

As a ‘fully managed’ service, Pass the Keys says its clients can reap all the rewards of short-letting without having to do any of the work. The service includes items such as listing preparation, pricing strategy, guest screening, check in, guest support, property cleaning and laundry.

The newly-formed franchise partner programme is designed for professional property managers, including estate agents, business owners, and property investors. It also provides access to the Pass the Keys framework, mobile app and client portal.

In addition, all franchisees are offered full training and an introduction to the system, account management and support from the Pass the Keys HQ in London, and access to educational materials such as expert advice and resources.

The partnership programme was piloted in Birmingham and will now expand to several additional destinations each month from now on.
