UK: The short-term rental industry is gearing up for an exciting week of recognition, celebration and education, notably with the 2024 Shortyz Awards, and two other events taking place nearby over a packed two-day period in London.

The Shortyz Awards are back for their fifth edition and return to Skyline London [which also hosted the awards in 2022] on Tuesday 23 April. The in-person awards ceremony is being hosted by STRz editor Paul Stevens and, for the first time, Georgina Burnett, a property and DIY interiors vlogger [as the Home Genie], and TV and weather presenter.

Once again, the Shortyz will crown winners in 20 categories, including the new and highly-anticipated ‘Team of the Year’ category. The awards set out to recognise excellence amongst industry peers, highlight innovation and industry best practice, reward achievement and celebrate startup technology.

More than 200 industry professionals from around the world will be in attendance at the Shortyz, representing companies such as: Vrbo; Booking; Sykes Holiday Cottages; Plum Guide; DC Advisory; Guesty; AJL Atelier; AirDNA; Wynwood House; and many more.

Award sponsors include: Key Data; PriceLabs; Beyond; Hostaway; Beach Retreats; Futurestay; VacayMyWay; and Welcome Pickups.

Supporting partners for the event include: The UK Short-Term Accommodation Association [STAA]; The Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers [ASSC]; The Professional Association of Self-Caterers UK [PASC UK]; The Australian and New Zealand Short-Term Rental Association [ASTRA]; and SCALE.
