Barcelona: Enterprise channel management solution Rentals United has emphasised the importance of revenue optimisation strategies for short-term property managers by bringing in Doug Truitt as its new head of revenue success.
In the newly-created role of head of revenue success, Truitt will strive to combine Rental United’s channel management technology with sophisticated and individualised revenue optimisation strategy for its clients.
Revenue management, both quantitative and qualitative, is critical to business success and Truitt believes in property managers’ understanding of the health of their revenue model in order to measure performance. Rentals United will begin to offer individually tailored solutions for clients in the near term.
Truitt comes on the heels of Stay Alfred where he was the senior director of distribution, overseeing its multichannel inventory distribution. Prior to that, he worked in the hospitality and travel space for over 20 years, predominantly in the hotel sphere for brands such as Red Lion, Pebble Beach Resorts, DoubleTree, Embassy Suites and Disneyland.
Truitt said: “I am excited to be joining the team at Rentals United and look forward to assisting clients during these difficult times in optimising their revenue and distribution strategies.
“A lot of companies don’t equal the importance of looking at distribution and revenue management practices holistically. With this new position at Rentals United, I will be able to help our customers follow a revenue management master plan that will get them the right customer at the right price,” he added.
Rentals United CEO James Burrows said: “At the core of channel management is revenue performance. Providing our clients with this value-added service of understanding and optimising the health of their performance model will go a long way to creating a successful property management business and we are excited to have Doug lead the way.”
