UK: Holiday park operator Evergreen Escapes Group is set to complete the multi-million-pound acquisition of two holiday parks in Cornwall from Hoburne Holidays on 12 February.
The parks, previously known as Hoburne Doublebois and Hoburne St Mabyn, will be rebranded as Doublebois Lodge Escape and St Mabyn Lodge Escape following completion of the deal.
Evergreen said it plans significant investment in upgraded lodge accommodation and new facilities at both sites, with a focus on attracting higher-spending holiday guests and lodge owners in the Cornish market. The group confirmed it will be business as usual for employees, guests and owners, with all existing staff offered continued employment.
The acquisition forms part of Evergreen Escapes Group’s wider growth strategy, which aims to build a scalable portfolio of between 15 and 20 holiday parks and leisure resorts over the next five years. The deal follows the group’s recent acquisition of the Manor and Ashbury Resorts in Devon.
Hoburne Holidays said the sale of the two Cornish parks will allow it to focus investment on its remaining portfolio, as it continues to develop family-oriented parks offering leisure facilities, restaurants and activities.
Evergreen Escapes Group operates holiday parks focused on lodge-based accommodation and nature-led leisure experiences, while Hoburne Holidays runs a portfolio of family holiday parks across the UK.
