Tokyo: Vacation rental service provider Rakuten Lifull Stay has announced its vacation rental and accommodation booking site VacationStay has partnered with channel manager Beds24.
The Rakuten Group company said its booking site was partnering with one of the world’s leading channel managers, which is operated by MPK Systems Ltd. It marks the first time that VacationStay has partnered with a global channel manager to date.
Beds24 is an all-in-one cloud service that is linked to major OTAs and utilised by vacation rental and accommodation providers in more than 130 countries around the world.
It offers a wide range of features, including a channel manager through which sales channels can be managed centrally, as well as a property management system where bookings, room prices and payments can be efficiently managed. The service handles a diverse range of properties including hotels, hostels and alternative accommodations like vacation rentals.
Beds24 also offers functions that are suitable for agencies that manage multiple properties.
As a result of the system partnership, property managers and their agents who use Beds24 in Japan will soon be able to list their properties on VacationStay and its partner accommodation booking sites, including Rakuten Travel. This will ensure they can market their properties more broadly and operate and manage them more efficiently, with full registration of properties required.
Basic information, payment methods and house rules are entered into the relevant form and inspection reports, business permits and other documents from authorities are uploaded before staff check the documents. Existing owners who have registered their properties with VacationStay will have access to these services by creating an account with Beds24.
VacationStay offers a wide-ranging inventory of lodging types to cater to the needs of domestic travellers, including houses, condos and hostels developed by Rakuten Lifull Stay. Rentals and accommodation facilities on VacationStay will also be displayed on Japanese and international partner accommodation booking websites.
Rakuten said it aimed to meet the needs of vacation rental and accommodation property owners, as well as contribute to the growth of the domestic and international vacation rental and accommodation industries respectively.
